Dr Lorraine Lam MRCGP

Dr Lam has a unique mix of experience across primary care, secondary care, and maritime medicine. She is an experienced NHS GP who still works at surgeries throughout Devon and Cornwall. Following work at HMS Drake, she had a successful career as Senior Doctor with Carnival UK Cruises. She is competent and comfortable in all clinical settings from general practice to emergency care.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2014 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Medical Sciences from the University of St Andrews. She completed her GP training in Plymouth, Devon.
At Plymouth Private Practice, Dr Lam provides longer consultations which allow for better patient-centred care. With roots in Canada and Hong Kong, combined with medical training in the UK, she offers an international perspective in her practice. She also proudly offers consultations in Cantonese, bridging language barriers for better care.
